where water moves beneath it, the way it has evolved, the imprint of those who came before.
The land has a language that can be decoded through the right kinds of listening - through geologic maps and watersheds, energetic patterns that reveal the health of the land, and the living intelligence of the land itself.
1. SCIENTIFIC
Utilizing over 25 years of field expertise in natural hazards and geologic systems to provide: an overview of regional and local geology, watershed and local hydrology analysis, and natural hazards assessment.
2. GEOMANTIC
Geomancy is the study of subtle patterns contained within the land. The flow of energy, water, and resource. It helps clarify soil health, land history, and more. A layer of deeper listening to the truth of the land.

DELIVERABLES: A professionally-produced, integrated assessment report and recommendations with maps and figures illuminating:
- Full geologic and hydrologic assessment and mapping of property within the context of the watershed and regional setting.
- Analysis of potential natural hazards with relevant recommendations.
- Due diligence as requested (land history, relevant data overlays, mineral rights, etc.)
- Soil and water quality testing as requested, including tracer studies as needed.

TIMELINE: 4-8 weeks from initial consultation to final delivery, depending on project scope. The majority of the work can be done remotely. However, a site visit is generally necessary, requiring anywhere from 1-3 full days for 1-2 team members.

We are a small team of land specialists, scientists and spiritual consultants.
GROUNDED IN GEOLOGY
Geologic principles form the foundation of Anu Land Consulting. Our team includes credentialed and respected scientists with Master's degrees and beyond, rooted in the discipline of keen observation and thorough data collection. We are trained researchers and academics, expert consultants, field team supervisors, and Earth Science educators.
GEOMANTIC PRACTICE
Geomancy is the ancestral study of the Earth, traditional methods used by our forefamilies to understand and work in harmony with the land. A "science of the subtle", geomancy is a kind of communication with the life force of the land, a disciplined and practiced art that can yield valuable information about the health and needs of the soil, ecosystems, energy flow, and more.
SPIRITUAL LINEAGE
We are rooted in the spiritual traditions of our ancestors, the ones who knew that the Earth was alive. We honor all the indigenous wisdom-keepers who have tended and passed down the knowledge we need to again return to symbiosis with our landscapes, to create and tend our spaces with respect, reciprocity, and understanding.
BASED IN COLORADO
We are based in the beautiful Western Slope of Colorado, and are available for projects throughout the American West and beyond. Remote assessment is available for select engagements. We've built our lifestyle around the land, so it's where you can usually find us! Hiking through the forests, floating down the rivers, and generally giving thanks for the gift of being alive.
Karina Allison, M.Sc. is the Founder and Principal of Anu Land Consulting, a seasoned Geologist with expertise in field mapping, natural hazards, sedimentology and stratigraphy, volcanic landscapes, and subsurface dynamics. Weaving science with subtle, Karina is also an ordained Reverend committed to a path of devotion to the sacredness of life and the intelligence of the natural world. Her field experience spans from studying the infrasonic processes of erupting volcanoes to working with local communities on water issues; in the last 25 years she has worked on a range of innovative projects for private, corporate, government, and non-profit clients. Karina has taught Earth Science for many years, and loves sharing the stories of our planet communicated by the dynamic processes of geology.
Dr. Robert Sullivan, known as "Chi", a shortened form of his native Choctaw name Nitaallusalichi, is the resident spiritual advisor for Anu Land Consulting. In addition to having studied the Kaballah daily for the last 55 years, Chi is also an expert shamanic healer, geomantic land reader, and ceremonialist. Because of his daily regenerative practices, Chi continues to inspire and heal many people, keeping a full calendar of teaching, ceremony, and group work. He is a respected elder and community leader who has dedicated his life to the awakening of humanity happening in collaboration with Planet Earth.
EXPERT HYDROLOGIST Coming Soon
A devoted land-listener, Wendy Kaas, M.Div., has been cultivating a deep relationship with the Earth since she first learned to communicate with plants. Decades of study with many wise mentors led her into profound direct relationship with the living world and the unseen; she now lives in service to Mother Earth and her people. Over the last 25 years she has been a nature-based mentor and educator, a grief ritualist, an eco-chaplain, and an energy worker. Wendy is excited to be joining Anu Land Consulting as an expert land reader, using ancient techniques she has studied extensively with her indigenous elders and feels honored to be blessed in their use, which reveal the deeper, often hidden layers preserved in the memory layers of the land. Jon Hutson is a geotechnical staff engineer and field geologist for Yeh and Associates, Inc. as well a dedicated community builder through his endeavor www.theopenmarket.co, a platform and living hub for local commerce to thrive on the Western Slope. Jon is excited to be bringing his expertise in resource management, regenerative permaculture, and micro-local land solutions to Anu Land Consulting.

Let's hop on a free 20-30 minute call to assess our mutual fit, talk about your land and your goals.

Upon contract, we will have a 1-hour opening call together and then Anu Land Consulting will get to work!

Site Visit
One of the first matters of business will be planning a site visit, ideally 2-3 weeks into the engagement.

Expect regular communication and 1–2 additional calls over the course of the project, culminating in a comprehensive report.
